Please answer this if you know a lot about surround sound!!?
I was thinking of getting a wireless sony, but decided to get this instead:
-Energy take classic 5 pack
-energy esw-8hg 8" 200 watt take classic subwoofer
-pioneer vsx-519v-k 5-channel a/v reciever
-rocketfish rf-whtib universal wireless rear speaker kit
Is there anything else I need? Will this make my system wireless? Also I would like to know how you power your subwoofer, (it requires 200 watts which almost no reciever putts out).
I am also considering buying the subwoofer later due to it's high cost, will the system still sound good with my hd tv and ps3?
The sub is powered so it already has it's own amplifier built in. You hook it up with the sub-out on the pioneer (one rca jack) and you don't need another amp for it. I have never used the Rocketfish but it should make the 2 rear speakers wireless. You'll need power to hook up the receivers but no speaker wire from the pioneer to the rear speakers. Waiting on the sub isn't the worst thing you could do. You won't get the deep bass sounds in explosions and such but it will still sound a lot better than just the tv speakers in the meantime.
