How long can you keep an opened jar of store-bought pasta sauce in the fridge?
I can never use a whole jar and wind up putting it in the fridge, but then forget about it. Can you keep it in the fridge for more than a couple of days if it was opened? Is it just like ketchup, which can stay OK for a long time? Please only answer if you know for sure. Thanks.
I never keep it longer than a week. Although it's mostly tomato, the other ingredients are inclined to spoil and lose their flavor before it's "fur time."
