Which sound system Most american cinemas have ? Dts or Dolby digital?
I watched piranh 2 in both DTS and Dolby digital in different theatres. I found that DTS is far more superior sorround system than dolby digital. DD can never match up the power and the atmospherical reality of sound which is created DTS's sorround speakers. I just want to know , which sound system most american cinemas have ? Dts or Dolby digital
It actually varies depending on who owns the rights to the movie because not all movies have DD and not all movies hasthe dts It is a matter of what the movie maker supports alot of movies are starting to carry multiple formats I think that the difference that you are experienceing is due to equipment difference. Both sound formats have their place and are designed for different types of movies I think one is geared more towards action adventure type stuff and one is geared for sci fi type things. However things might work different in the theater business where you are from.hope this helps
