Should I get new speakers for my new A/V receiver???
My 5 year old Sony A/V receiver burned up,so I bought a new Yamaha HTR 5940 and connected it to my old speakers.It sounds alright,but this new receiver has alot more power and capability.Is it time to replace my 5+ year old speakers with new ones to hear the potential of the more powerful receiver??
you could. best bet is to audition new speakers with your set up. try a more sensitive speaker like klipsch to get better spl for the same amp power.
