If I buy a used directv receiver with an access card will it work?
I already have a directv receiver in another room is there a way to get the channels on the used one from the one I already have
You have to call DirecTV to activate that box. You may need to purchase another card. If the account on and potential receiver is in arrears, or it is a leased receiver, they most likely will not activate it. You need to check that before you purchase. Also, when you activate it, make it clear you own the receiver, so you won't end up paying lease charges.
