What temp should i set the thermostat on the immersion heater on my household water system?
TW is spot on, above 55C to prevent Legionella and below 60 C to prevent excessive scale build .
Not sure where plumber techie is getting his figures from but The water supply and fitting regulations 1999 make no mention of stored water temperature apart from backflow prevention from water heaters.
