Dolby Digital Pro Logic II Music vs. Movie vs. Emulation, What is the difference and which is better?
Hi, I recently got a surround sound system for my room, when hooked up to my Playstation 3 There are different sound settings:
Dolby Pro Logic II Music
Dolby Pro Logic II Movie
Dolby Emulation
I am very confused on what the difference is between the three. Any help is appreciated!
I owned a Sony receiver a couple of years ago myself and enjoyed these different modes. I'm going to assume that these modes produce the same tones with your PS3. Basically, they're supposed to emulate music, movie, or Sony theater environments. But in all honesty, it really all depends on the type of sound you enjoy. Neither is better than the other, though some sound stages may have better surround and center (speaker) distribution like the Movie and Dolby Emulation.
