I have an ice blue zebra cichlid that always chases and nips my jewel cichlid...why and what should i do?
They are only about an inch long and they are the only fish, besides a pleco, in a 55 gallon tank. The ice blue zebra cichlid chases the jewel cichlid everytime he sees him and his fins look kinda bad.
What kind of substrate decor do you have going on? You probably need to add some more decor and plants in your substrate to establish a better zone of boundries. 2 one inch fish in a 4 foot tank worth of space? That really should not be happening really. It may just be that one of the two is wandering too close to the other. In the mean time, change all the decor around and see what happens from there.
